What is It?
Computer Lab Software Request. To request software installed or updated in labs.
**Requests for software installs are preferred to be made at least two weeks before the semester starts. It becomes harder to accommodate software requests after classes have begun due to working around class schedules. We also ask for two weeks lead time on requests made during the semester for the above reasons.**
Who is eligible to use It?
Faculty and staff may request an upgrade or modification of software in USI’s traditional or virtual computer labs. Once updates are made, those who made a request will be asked to visit the computer lab to confirm that the software is working as requested.
Where can I get It?
Upgrades to existing software, software configuration changes, and new software installation requests need to be submitted. The requester/department is responsible for funding any new software licenses. All files required for software upgrades/installations must be delivered to IT. Newly requested software should be funded and purchased, and any associated media provided to IT.
How do I request It?
Click on the Request Lab Software link on the right.
Please provide the classroom location, name of the software that needs to be updated or installed, and when it needs to be installed by. If this is a new piece of software the University does not use already, we will reach out to you for the installation files and possibly licensing.
How Much Does It Cost?
There is no fee for this service.
