Request for planning and prioritization of technology related projects.
USI IT defines a project as a temporary undertaking with a specified beginning and end to create a unique product, service, or result. To qualify as an IT project, it must involve technology and meet four of the the following criteria:
- Must have a beginning and end
- Requires IT time and effort in excess of 40 hours
- Span calendar time in excess of four weeks
- Be in excess of $10,000 in technology spend
- Require business process collaboration between two or more departments
Helpful Information:
- Prior to requesting a project, gain authorization from your department's supervisor.
- This individual will be contacted upon submission of the request.
- You may save this project request via the "Save" button and revisit it for edits and changes prior to submission.
- You must mark each section complete before you can "Review and Submit" the project request.
- Project is submitted by the “Submit” button on the Review and Submit page.
Projects are typically NOT:
- Regular Application Maintenance/Patching
- Bug Fixes
- Server and Operating System upgrades
- Minor changes/enhancements to existing technology
