Request and Purchase USB Security Key -- Students / Personal Funds

What Is It?

The university offers students and employees the ability to purchase a personal USB Security Keys for use with our multi-factor authentication process.  The USB Keys can be used both on as well as off campus for your security verification needs.

Who is Eligible to Use It?

Active faculty, staff and students of the university are eligible to purchase a USB Security Key with their own personal funds through the Information Technology department.

How Do I Use It?

• Visit https://secure.touchnet.net/C21706_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=67 to purchase the key.
   
• Pick up the key at the IT Service Desk (Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm) located in the basement of the Rice Library in room 0026.

• Follow the instructions at https://www.usi.edu/it/security/multifactor-authentication/usb-security-key to set up the USB Security Key.

If you prefer to purchase from a non-university source, we suggest that the USB Security Key be purchased through a reputable vendor such as Amazon.  (links listed below each picture)
