How to Filter the Address Book to Show Just Employees?

Overview

By default, Outlook will show you the Global Address Book. This address book contains students and employees - it is very large which may make it difficult to locate a person when sending an email. If you want to only see employees in the address book, you can set the default address book to the USI Employee Address List rather than the Global Address Book.

Steps

1. In Outlook, click "Address Book" on the Home tab

2. Click "Tools" --> "Options"

3. Click "Custom"

4.  In the list of address books, click "USI Employee Address List"

If you do not see the USI Employee Address List, click "Add" and select it from there

5. Use the arrow icons to make USI Employee Address List the top entry

6. Specify the USI Employee Address List for the "When opening ..." drop down

7. Click "OK"
