No Audio from Instructor Station (for Windows 10)

Overview

This article will guide you in troubleshooting your lack of audio while using an instructor station in a classroom. 

Environment - May leave out if not needed.

Steps

First locate this icon in the lower right corner of the desktop near the clock and click on it once. 

You will now see this box, when done correctly. 

Notice in the upper right hand corner in the box above, you see a carat ^. When you click on it or the words in the same line as that carat you will see the box below. If you have multiple choices then the machine is on an incorrect audio output resulting in no audio. USB Audio Device & Epson PJ are the popular ones that we use the most for audio. 

 

This box below shows that there are no other audio choices in the system because a carat is not present. If you encounter this and still have no audio, an amplifier could be turned off in the desk. If you locate the amplifier, and you still have no audio, please contact the IT service desk so that we can entertain replacing equipment.
