How to map a Network Printer on campus with a Windows PC
Environment
On campus Windows PC or the USI Windows Virtual Desktop
Before You Begin
You will need privileges to a network printer before you can map it. Please have your supervisor request access to the printer if you do not have access to it.
Steps
- Press the Windows Key on your keyboard
- Type the following bolded text: \\campusprn.usi.edu
- Press Enter
- In the top right of the File Explorer window, type the name of the printer in "Search campusprn" then press Enter (You can also go through the complete list of printers)
- Click on the printer you wish to map, then right click it, and select Connect
