Overview
Focused Inbox separates your inbox into two groups: Focused and Other. It puts important email messages in the "Focused" tab while the rest go to the "Other" tab. The more it is used, the better it gets.
Environment
The instructions below show how to turn off the focused inbox the Windows Outlook Application (Old Version), Windows Outlook Application (New Version), and the web version of Outlook.
Steps
Old Outlook Application
To Turn On/Off Focused Inbox:
1. Click View
2. Click "Show Focused Inbox" to toggle Focused Inbox on and off
To Move an Email from the "Other" Tab to the "Focused" Tab
1. Right click on the email
2. Click "Move to Focused"
(If you want all future messages from this sender to be moved to the Focused tab, select "Always Move to Focused")
To Move an Email from the "Focused" Tab to the "Other" Tab
1. Right click on the email
2. Click "Move to Other"
(If you want all future messages from this sender to be moved to the Other tab, select "Always Move to Other")
New Outlook Application and Web Version of Outlook
To Turn On Focused Inbox:
1. Click View
2. Click "View Settings"
3. Click "Sort messages into Focused and Other"
4. Click "Save"
To Turn Off Focused Inbox:
1. Click View
2. Click "View Settings"
3. Click "Don't sort my messages"
4. Click "Save"
To Move an Email from the "Other" Tab to the "Focused" Tab
1. Right click on the email
2. Click "Move" --> "Move to Focused inbox"
(If you want all future messages from this sender to be moved to the Focused tab, select "Always Move to Focused")

Additional Info
It is important to regularly check the "Other" inbox to ensure no important messages get put in it.
